2023-04-16 The Marti Wedding

Its really nice being a guest at a wedding every now and then but old habits die hard. I carried my Leica Q2 with a wrist strap all day snapping parts of the wedding that I never really get to. By that, I mean if I were to shoot a commissioned gig, I would have to get the shots that satisfy my customers’ needs. There is a certain level of quality with a certain look and feel they are expecting. But today.. that doesn’t matter; If I miss a moment on the camera, its because I’m living it and there is no pressure to capture it. I got to take behind the scenes photos and document the day as I see it. What was awesome is I don’t have to take those formal photos but instead take photos with the bride and groom from sober to drunk. It was an awesome wedding, seeing old friends from college in one room again is really a blast from the past but more importantly I got to see my good friends tie the knot.
