St Patrick’s Day Weekend

I swear when we were looking for houses last year that we did not know there would be so many local breweries, distilleries, wine tasting rooms within walking distance. I found out that earlier this week that a new brewery was opening up on St Patricks day, so we decided to go and try it out this weekend. Before this, the nearest brewery was 6 mins away and now this new one is 5 mins walking… We didn’t bring the dogs with us this time because we didn’t know how packed it was going to be opening weekend but next time they’ll make an appearance. The brewery’s got a half/half shandy you can order with any of their beers on tap and I think we found the best combo ever… Fair Winds And Following Seas DIPA with the lemonade shandy mix. The USS Nitze Cherry Sour as a shandy was awesome too, it reminds me of grapefruit lemonade mix. It was also a treat to meet the owners of the brewery and see the facilities when I wondered off from my wife to take some photos. I’m excited to taste their new beers coming up after speaking with them. We then made our way to O'Connors for dinner because someone was craving corned beef and cabbage but unfortunately they sold out. The food was great though and I finished my night with a pint of Guinness. Cheers!
